Where Eleven Bravo has Made an Impact

 

Many organizations have great solutions for a myriad of issues.  Unfortunately sometimes these solutions are not easily understandable to a wider audience and applies equally to private companies, non-profit organizations and government agencies.  This is especially true in the SMVF (Service Members, Veterans and their Families) sector. Some organizations are so busy with day to day operations, longer term planning sometimes falls to the side.  Assistance and in some cases unique solutions we have developed include:

  • In 2011 we came up with the concept and launched the Text Help Line for the VA Crisis Center.  Now Veterans contemplating suicide can text 838255 and connect directly to a counselor.  We also got all of the carriers in the US to waive in and out bound fees for texts. Since it's launch, over 40,000 contacts have been made with over 2 million text messages exchanged. 
  • Since 2013, we have provided training to various states in conjunction with SAMHSA's effort to create statewide networks of behavioral health support to Service Members, Veterans and their Families.
  • Established career transition programs for student veterans at the University of Denver (2016), Arizona State University (2014)and the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs (2013) and facilitated cooperation with private sector companies.
  • Served as a board member for Congressman Coffman - Senator Udall's joint PTSD task force releasing an in-depth report of mitigation efforts in Colorado.
  • Serve as an advisory board member for the Denver Foundation's task force to support Veterans issues. 
  • Served as a board member of Colorado Serves, a state-wide effort to connect behavioral health resources for service members, veterans and their families.  
  • Founded Colorado Veterans in Higher Education in 2011 and merged it with the Colorado Advisory Council on Military Education in 2015.  
  • Assisted the United Veterans Committee of Colorado with social media outreach. 
  • Developed branding videos for the VFW, Project Sanctuary and the UVC to reach new demographics.
